Hampers that ease a household’s week, and a bear for a child who needs reassurance more than words.
Beyond daily meals, ACT South Africa responds to emotional and practical needs through carefully assembled gift hampers, dignity packs and comfort items.
Hundreds of hampers were distributed to families in distress over the year, each including hygiene and household items. ACT Bears were given to children experiencing trauma, illness or emotional hardship — often clutched tightly by a child who needs reassurance more than words.
At Christmas, a celebration planned for 300 children met more than 600 arrivals. Four unexpected boxes of toys arrived at the right moment. Over 750 meals were served, 600 toys distributed, and not a single child was turned away.
