Monthly hygiene kits and groceries for women, and weekly dry food for men, living in workers’ dormitories.
ACT UAE runs two standing distributions. Each month the team delivers hygiene kits, dry groceries and ration packages to white-collar women living in dormitories, reaching approximately 50 people, with support from the local non-profit Smart Life.
Alongside it, a weekly distribution of dry food and groceries in men’s dormitories has been running for several years and currently supports around 40 men.
Between them the two ensure basic needs are met consistently rather than occasionally — which for people on low wages far from home is the difference the programme is designed to make.
