Support for a dog rescuer in Patagonia

Backing one person who already had thirty to forty abandoned dogs in her care.

Animal WelfarePart of ACT4Animals1 location

ACT Foundation Argentina’s first initiative began in January 2024, and it went to animal welfare work already happening locally rather than starting something new. In Patagonia the team partnered with Mariela Quipildor, who rescues abandoned dogs and keeps between thirty and forty in her care at any time, feeding and sheltering them regardless of the weather or her own finances.

This is the shape much ACT4Animals work takes: find the person already doing it, and make it possible for them to keep going.
