Fruit trees for schoolyards
A tree planted in a schoolyard feeds the children who watched it go in.

ACT Serbia planted 498 fruit tree seedlings at 22 elementary schools in its first year, working with city mayors, school staff, students and volunteers. ACT North Macedonia has planted in a schoolyard and a kindergarten.
Schoolyards are chosen deliberately: a fruit tree planted where children already are becomes food and shelter across species, and outlasts everyone who planted it.
