The Frankfort Community Food Pantry opened in Ohio this year, run by the volunteers who had been making monthly donations to the Good Samaritan pantry and decided to run a service of their own. Its first service day reached 38 families.

What comes next is plain enough: the pantry is now preparing to fundraise, apply for grants and expand capacity. A monthly service is only as good as what it can put on the shelves.
