Location: 16 de Enero General Elementary School, Hidalgo County, near Mexico City.
Freshly prepared hot, plant-based meals for 25 children and school staff, five days a week. It is the youngest of the three School Meal Program countries, and the school community has already said so in writing: a formal letter of appreciation from the principal, testimonials from the children, and thanks from the local chef and kitchen team for being included in the work rather than catered to.
ACT has received a proposal to extend the programme to two more schools, reaching 97 further children.
